Le bulletin du mois de septembre est consacré à notre profession. Quel est le rôle d’un professionnel en ressources humaines, sa formation, ses compétences mais surtout, quelle est la valeur ajoutée d’engager un diplômé en ressources humaines.
Les professionnels en ressources humaines
Les professionnels en ressources humaines sont des individus qui détiennent une formation universitaire en relations industrielles ou en gestion des ressources humaines. Ceux et celles qui sont membres de l’Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés du Québec détiennent un titre réservé soit CRHA ou CRIA. Ils doivent respecter un code de déontologie et répondre à des critères de sélection rigides afin d’obtenir la permission de porter ce titre exclusif.
La profession de «professionnel en ressources humaines» est une profession au même titre que les avocats, les comptables, les ingénieurs.
Voici une partie des compétences fondamentales que doit détenir un professionnel en ressources humaines:
CONTRIBUER, SUR UN PLAN STRATÉGIQUE, À LA RÉUSSITE DE L’ORGANISATION
- Faire valoir et démontrer l’importance des ressources humaines de l’organisation
- Démontrer une compréhension de l’entreprise, de son fonctionnement et de ses enjeux
- Aligner les pratiques de gestion des ressources humaines relevant de sa responsabilité sur la vision, les valeurs, la stratégie d’affaires et la culture de l’organisation
- Améliorer les processus relatifs aux programmes relevant de sa responsabilité dans un but d’efficience (faire les bonnes choses)
- Voir à ce que les pratiques et les programmes relevant de sa responsabilité produisent une valeur ajoutée pour l’entreprise
- Mesurer, du point de vue du client ou de l’organisation, le retour sur investissement des programmes et activités relevant de sa responsabilité
- Participer à la mise en place et à la révision des structures et des politiques relatives à la gouvernance
Il existe plusieurs spécialités en gestion des ressources humaines comme la rémunération, les relations de travail, le développement organisationnel, la gestion du personnel selon les normes et la dotation, entre autres. La dotation est le processus complet d’analyse qui permet d’effectuer du recrutement. Comparativement à une agence de placement qui, elle, effectuera la recherche de candidature pour le client, le professionnel en ressources humaines travaillera en amont de ces activités. En effet, il détient les compétences pour analyser le besoin de l’organisation, analyser les critères et compétences nécessaires, préparer et intègrer au processus le système de rémunération et d’avantages sociaux, etc. Dans cet exemple, l’analyse du besoin permettra à l’organisation d’assurer le succès de son processus. C’est la valeur ajoutée du professionnel.
Travailler avec un professionnel en ressources permet d’obtenir une opinion objective sur les différents dossiers touchant les individus en entreprise, le développement et l’application de méthodes de travail reconnues et surtout une expertise reconnue par le code des professions.
