QU’EST-CE QUE LA DÉCLARATION DE L’EMPLOYEUR EN MATIÈRE D’ÉQUITÉ SALARIALE ?
La Déclaration de l’employeur en matière d’équité salariale (DEMES) est régie par un règlement provincial entré en vigueur le 1er mars 2011 et permet à la Commission de l’équité salariale d’obtenir des données sur le niveau d’avancement de l’application de la Loi sur l’équité salariale et de cibler ses interventions de vérification dans les entreprises.

QUI DOIT REMPLIR LA DÉCLARATION ANNUELLE EN MATIÈRE D’ÉQUITÉ SALARIALE ?
Depuis le 31 mars 2011, tout employeur comptant 6 personnes salariées ou plus se doit OBLIGATOIREMENT de remplir la Déclaration de l’employeur en matière d’équité salariale (DEMES) et ce, annuellement.

MON ENTREPRISE N’EST PAS ASSUJETTIE À L’ÉQUITÉ SALARIALE OU NE S’Y EST PAS ENCORE CONFORMÉE…
Cette obligation est DISTINCTE des obligations relatives à l’exercice d’équité salariale.Donc, même si vous NE VOUS ÊTES PAS CONFORMÉS à l’équité salariale et/ou même si VOUS N’ÊTES PAS ASSUJETTIS À VOUS Y CONFORMER,vous DEVEZ remplir votre déclaration annuelle. Sinon, vous commettez une infraction et êtes passibles d’une amende.
